Town of Torbay had two main goals for the 2017 municipal elections; get people to run and get people to vote. They engaged us to help make it happen. WaterWerks developed a website to house important information for candidates and later showcase the nominated candidates. Leading up to election day, we offered continuous support, developing printed materials, such as newspaper ads and direct mail, and supporting their social media efforts. The entire effort culminated during election night, when the results were delivered live on the site. In consultation with the client, we developed a logo for the Torbay Votes effort that complimented their primary brand and other branded engagement efforts. The campaign further established Torbay as a provincial leader in citizen engagement and proactive, progressive communications. The site saw over 6,900 sessions in three months and over 14,000 page views. On election day alone, 1.9k users tuned in to see the live results.
